Are you travelling by Fluo TER and want to know everything about taking a bike on board trains, parking at the station or renting a bike near stations to easily plan your trip? Read on!
Taking your bike
Taking bikes on Fluo TER trains is subject to conditions. The boarding procedures and rules depend on the type of bike:
› folding bikes/scooters: your bike travels with you for free and no reservation is required. Please note, it must be folded (maximum dimensions 130×90 cm) and in its cover.
Good to know: folding bikes and scooters must be placed in the luggage spaces.
› traditional bikes:you can take your bike on Fluo TER trains (except some TER services between Strasbourg and Basel), with no reservation required, subject to available space (your bike must be placed in the spaces dedicated to bikes, as it must not cause any inconvenience to passengers).
› large bikes are not accepted on board Fluo TER trains (tricycles, three-wheelers, tandems or bicycle trailers, etc.).
In the event of high traffic on Fluo TER trains, bicycles may be refused on board by SNCF staff.
Parking your bike
Free bicycle parking spaces are available near stations to allow you to get around with ease!
- Park your bike at your departure or arrival station
- Depending on the station, you will find self-service hooks or secure bicycle shelters accessible using your Simplicités card
- These locations are available any time!
Peace of mind when leaving your bike behind
To properly secure your bike, use a U-lock that you attach to a fixed point (the frame or the front wheel).
